Holy cow, this stuff is INCREDIBLE! It tastes too good to be true, but it's not. Just a super fast and easy way to enjoy all the delights of deli meat without ANY of the drawbacks. Use it all the ways you used to use deli meat: in sandwiches, on crackers, in recipes and dips, or just all by itself.
We first created this recipe months ago, not knowing how popular it would be (over 24,000 youtube views and counting) and more importantly, how much WE would still love it months later.
It has truly become a favorite and something we eat weekly. It's easy to make, freezes incredibly well, and is a great way to boost protein. The texture and taste are SPOT ON. I am confident it will be a favorite for you too. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 16 ounce block super firm tofu
1 1/2 cups water
2 tsp. vegan or vegetarian bouillon powder (we like the chicken and beef flavor)
All-purpose seasoning of choice (like season salt, steak seasoning, etc.)
Instructions:
Slice tofu from the block with a vegetable peeler to create thin slices. Don't worry if some of it crumbles or the slices aren't perfect. When the block becomes too small to "peel", cut the remaining tofu thinly with a knife. Layer the slices and pieces in a skillet. Sprinkle the all-purpose seasoning on top. Mix the bouillon powder with the water and pour over the slices. Bring to a simmer and adjust heat so it continues to simmer but not too vigorously. Simmer for about 15 minutes (watch it carefully the last couple of minutes) until all the liquid has evaporated. You want to avoid having it stick to the pan. Cool and refrigerate or freeze for later use. Enjoy!
