🍌 Simple Ingredients You’ll Need

Most vegan protein ice cream recipes use frozen bananas as a base for their natural sweetness and creamy texture. Here’s a basic recipe to get you started:

Base Ingredients:

2–3 ripe bananas, sliced and frozen

1 scoop of your favorite plant-based protein powder (vanilla or chocolate work great)

1/4 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk (almond, oat, soy, etc.)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

A pinch of salt

Optional Add-ins:

1 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter

A handful of frozen berries

Cocoa powder for a chocolate version

Vegan chocolate chips or crushed nuts for texture

🍨 How to Make It

Prep Your Bananas: Peel and slice ripe bananas, then freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Blend: Add the frozen banana slices, protein powder, non-dairy milk, and any add-ins to a high-speed blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed.

Adjust Texture: If it’s too thick, add a splash more non-dairy milk. If too soft, pop it in the freezer for 15–30 minutes.

Serve or Store: Scoop into bowls and enjoy immediately for soft-serve texture, or freeze in an airtight container for 1–2 hours for a firmer scoop.

🍓 Flavor Variations to Try

Chocolate Peanut Butter: Add cocoa powder + a spoonful of peanut butter

Berry Vanilla: Add frozen blueberries or strawberries

Mint Chip: Blend in a few fresh mint leaves and stir in vegan chocolate chips

Cookies & Cream: Fold in crushed vegan cookies for a classic treat

Bischoff and coconut: Fold in a scoop of Bischoff butter and a sprinkle of shredded coconut

A handful of spinach (you won’t taste it!)

A dash of cinnamon or turmeric for added antioxidants
